£155 including materials and cream tea
During this workshop you will learn the dynamics of cutting and hand stitching mohair. Be taught all the stitches used in bear making, how to insert glass eyes and cotter pin joints

Please email Jacqueline directly to book this workshop on info@jacquelinesbears.uk

Meet and make Nico, a traditional handmade bear. This 1920's style bear is made using 100% Steiff mohair, fully movable cotter pin joints, glass eyes and an embroidered snout. Nico has plastic pellets in his tummy and is stuffed with polyester stuffing. Nico is 23cm high when standing and 17cm when sitting.

You will receive a bear making kit with all the materials to complete your bear. Specialist tools and bear making equipment will also be available for use. You should be able to complete your bear in 2 days. However, should you not Jacqueline will have demonstrated the process in full. You will also receive a copy of your bear pattern and a comprehensive booklet of instructions.

This traditional bear making workshop will run in the magnificent Richardson Conservatory within the Walled Garden.

Suitable for:
Adults. Due to the ratinee (multi directional mohair) this workshop is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to those more experienced bear makers. But we do recommend some basic sewing skills.
Please note: that due to some materials Nico is a collector bear, not a toy.
