Our Package: Reception-only in the Hall Gardens or 'Capability' Brown Parkland (£2,950)

The Hall Gardens

With the entire house as the backdrop along with stunning views over the parkland and lakes, the hall gardens is an ideal setting to enjoy your after-ceremony dinner and dancing.

Our 'Capability' Brown Parkland

With more than 70 acres of space and designed by the renowned Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, the parkland offers the perfect spot for larger weddings that need plenty of room. A location with stunning views over Scampston Lake and the wider Yorkshire Wolds.

Included in the package:
• Exclusive use of the hall gardens or parkland for your wedding reception
• Up to 300 guests in hall gardens & 300+ guests in parkland
• Use of our experienced in-house wedding planner on-hand to coordinate your day
• Ample onsite parking for all your guests
• Fully licenced premises
• Exclusive use of the hall gardens, Palladian Bridge, and wider lake views for your photographs
• Use of our award-winning walled garden for your photographs (non-exclusive)

Our In-House Planner Included

Here at Scampston Hall, we have been working alongside Ellen from LND Events as our in-house planner for a number of years.

Ellen's coordination service is included in our package. Once you have chosen Scampston Hall for your big day, your details will be passed onto Ellen to arrange a meeting. In this meeting you can discuss plans for your wedding; your likes, dislikes and things you feel are important to include in your day. Ellen can translate these into timings that will make your wedding day run perfectly.

On the countdown to your wedding (around a month before) Ellen will be back in touch to collate the suppliers you have chosen, find out arrival times and complete the full timeline. On the day before you wedding, Ellen will arrange a site visit to see how you've set up your marquee and run through the logistics. On the day itself, she will arrive at least half an hour before your first supplier is due and stay until your last official activity is underway.

We chose Ellen to work with us as she has vast experience in her own wedding planning business. If you'd like extra assistance with your wedding, Ellen offers as much or as little support as you would like. Wedding FAQs

There are lots of different elements to think about when planning your big day, so take a look below at some answers to our frequently asked questions.

Q) Do we have exclusive use of the grounds on our wedding day?

A) Both our wedding reception packages give you Exclusive Use of either the hall gardens or parkland for the day.

Q) Can we get legally married at Scampston Hall?

A) We do not hold a civil ceremony or marriage licence so our packages are ideal for those who are planning to take part in the legal aspect elsewhere.

Q) Do we need to apply for our own alcohol licence?

A) We are a fully licenced premises, so you don’t have to worry about securing your own alcohol licence/TENs.

Q) Is marquee hire or catering included in either of your packages?

A) Our packages are for venue-hire only and don’t include marquee or catering hire. We are happy to guide, advise and suggest suppliers that know our venue well, or you are welcome to find your own, the choice is yours.

Q) Is there any on-site accommodation at Scampston Hall?

A) Although we don’t have accommodation onsite we are lucky to have an abundance of places on our doorstep in the nearby town of Malton and surround areas.

Q) Can we have fireworks at Scampston?

A) We do allow Fireworks at Scampston so you can finish your special day off with a bang!

Q) Is VAT included in your package fee?

A) Our venue hire fees are inclusive of VAT.
