Outdoor sessions for families with school-aged children who are out of school.
About Nature Scamps
Outdoor sessions for families with school-aged children who are out of school. These sessions will offer a wide range of hands-on activities linked to the season with a forest school ethos in the grounds at Scampston. There will be time for free play and exploration as well as more structured activities, crafts and campfire cooking..
They are designed to offer the chance to learn about nature first hand, try new and exciting challenges and develop ‘outdoor’ skills. The sessions are primarily aimed at families with children aged 5-11, (younger siblings may attend, at parents' and leader's discretion, but will need a ticket if they will be joining in with activities). Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Sessions will run on Tuesdays during term time, so the grounds are not open to the public, and families will be able to stay and enjoy a picnic and play in the woodland education area after the structured session.
About Our Leader
Amber Botham has been working with children for over 25 years. She is a qualified teacher and a level 3 qualified Forest School Leader with a passion for outdoor learning.
