Article Date: May 2012
A thoroughly enjoyable evening in the company of the BBC Gardeners' Question Time team
Alison Pringle, Matthew Biggs and Christine Walkden at Scampston
A glorious late May evening saw Scampston as the venue for a double recording of BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time.
Chairman Eric Robson, host of over 4000 editions of the programme, was joined by panellists Bob Flowerdew, Matthew Biggs, Christine Walkden and Alison Pringle to record the programmes and entertain the capacity audience in the Garden Restaurant.
A wide range of questions were put to the panel who gave answers on everything from pests and diseases, to when to clip hedges and topiary and whether it is a good idea to use tea bags to retain water in hanging baskets!

Hear the answers and an interview with Lady Legard and Paul Smith when  the programmes are aired  - on Friday 8th June, repeated on Sunday 10th, and Friday 13th July, repeated on Sunday 15th.
